India's spending on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

The 2015 Millennium Development Goals set by the UNDP in 2000 targeted a reduction in the population of those without sanitation and safe drinking water to 1/3rd. This became the Swach Bharat Abhiyan in India. The infpgraphic tells the story of the funds that were dedicated to public outreach - an important component of the SBA.

Changing how India defecates

Infographic #2 of 3 that I created for the Accountability Initiative. This one illustrates how the government spent money on outreach to spread awareness about sanitary hygiene and practices in the Indian household.

For the purpose of the illustration, I employed the metaphor of water, the water vessel (and the water tank) which is used during defecation in the open.
